Anime and manga I have been readin/watching

Recently, I watch the first season of “Sword Art Online”. I love the 1/2 of the show. Then the 2nd part takes a nose dive by switching out what mmo (Mssive Multiple player game Online) they are in. The protagonist is decent. I loved the female lead till the 2nd act where she becomes damsel in distress. She started out so strong. I know it kinda oof slow on this one considering they are making a third season.

I’ve also been wachting “Psycho Pass”. This one the protagonist, or at least who I think the protagonist is. Akane starts off weak, then her character slowly changes a person with less optimism and more real world experience. I kind-of reminds me of Elizabeth Keen change of character from the T.V. show Blacklist. This anime is very dark. There is also a manga and a novel under the same name.

A good name I found is called “A devil and her love song” or another name for it is “Akuma to her love song”. This series is basically high school. The main girl, Kawai, just got kicked out of a Catholic school. Her words are harsh, so most of her new classmates hate her. Even the teacher has it out for her. There are some times when she’s included in things, but it mostly to make fun or anger her. She eventually get some friends. But most of the students have it out for her.

Hi, long time no post

Sorry, I been busy lately. I am trying to live on my own…. So, far no luck. I may be getting a new job soon. I have been watching a couple new anime and manga.

  • A book published this year
  • A book with a number in the tittle
  • A book written by someone under 30
  • A book with nonhuman characters

  • A mystery or thriller, Possibly “Girl with the Dragon tattoo” by Stieg Larsson
  • A book with one word tittle
  • A book of short stories
  • A book set in a different country

  • A book on the bottom of your to read list
  • A book your mom love
  • A book that scares you
  • A book more than 100 years old
  • A book based entirely on its cover
  • A book you were supposed to read in school but didn’t; lets modify this on to a book I didn’t finish in school, but was supposed to
  • A memoir
  • A book you can finish in a day, um that most book for me I read fast
  • A book set somewhere you always wanted to visit
  • A book that came out the year you were born, I was born in 1993 so it will probably be “The Giver” by Lois Lowry (though technically  this can go under book made into a movie too)
  • A book with bad reviews
  • A Trilogy
  • A book from your childhood
  • A book with a love triangle, that not twilight or the host
  • A book set in the future, maybe “Farmer in the sky” by Robert A. Heinlein

  • A book that takes place in your home town, um i live in a small town
  • A book that was originally written in a different language
  • A book set during Christmas
  • A book written by an author with same initials as you
  • a play
  • a banned book
  • a book based on/turned into a tv show
  • a book you started but never finished

So, the original challenge are in bold, my modification, books i might read for the challenge or comments are not in bold. This list I found on https://bonjourrworld.wordpress.com/2015/01/11/book-reading-challenge/

My own set of rule will be each book will only count for on part of the challenge. For example the first Harry potter book can only count for one of these: banned book (in some schools), childhood book, A book you can finish in a day, different country, became a movie. As you can see some books can be put into multiple parts of this challenge. I will try not to do any book I’ve read last year, but i make no promises.

Would High School reading list be better with more modern books?

I was forced to read vary boring books in high school, like Shakespeare plays (Rome and Juliet and Julius Caesar), To Kill a Mocking Bird, among others. The reason I bring this up is because a article, I found on why Lord of the rings and Harry Potter should be included in school reading lists.

Here’s the article: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/mackenzie-patel/8-reasons-harry-potter-an_b_6136466.html?ncid=fcbklnkushpmg00000063

We could defiantly get more boom out of high school reading if they choose the right modern books. We could replace 1964, which is a dystopian book, with the Hunger Games. If you wanting to show the difference in genre’s.

The only book I was forced to read and actually like  was the first Harry Potter book (got me into reading in 4th grade) and Siddhartha. In my school district, everyone read (and was taught)  the same 2-3 books a year starting in 5th grade. So that around 14-ish books and I only liked two of them. Some I can understand like Shakespeare, others not so much.  If we want kids to read more why not let them read better, more interesting books in school?

I wrote around 4,312 words for NaBloPoMo in November. So, that averages out to 144 (round-up). It’s not the best, but it something. When I was adding everything up, I notice that most of my post were about 120-150 words a post, with one big post that was slightly more than 1,100 words. Do you like my post to be around 150 words or would you like me to try to have bigger ones? Whats your favorite post so far that I have done?

Aside

Sorry for the delay in posting. I have been doing a lot recently. I went to Indianapolis, Indiana. My older brother lives in that area right now. My parents and I, went on the weekend of one footballs Big ten games, it was Ohio State Vs. Wisconsin  State. Down town had lots of Christmas light, but it was really busy cause of the game. We went to the Zoo there which was cool, but many of the animals weren’t out because of the cold. There was free parking there earlier in the day there, many events like the dolphin shows wasn’t till 5pm which is when they turned on their Christmas light and many parents and kids came. We walk down town from the zoo, saw the four-story mall (three above ground, one below it). To get to down town we walked through Madison gardens and across a bridge which lead to one of the parks there.

Some time in the next few days I will post about how many words I wrote for NaBloMoPo in November. Happy Holidays 😀

It’s the last day of NaBloPoMo.  Cool, I made it all the way through the this year 🙂 I only did 20 days last year. I am happy with the progress 🙂

writing promt:

Where do you see your blog in one year? Truthfully, I don’t know. I started this because my friend did one to, though he’s over in Europe. I want to try to post more, hopefully. I want to write about manga, anime and movies, among small semi-useless information on my life. I don’t like the people who post every day about what their cat or they did today that was boring, we have Facebook for that. But neither do I want to remain totally anonymous. Trying to decided weather or not to get a degree, what job I want for a career and what I want out of life these question are my main goals, I guess you could say right now. Though weather or not i blog about them is a different story.

Five years? I hope to keep doing blogging, but I am not sure I will.I guess only time will tell.

The two bold  questions are writing prompts from http://www.blogher.com/nablopomo-november-2014-prompts
